About the Operations
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry unit (BUP) has approximately 120 employees with clinics in Härnösand, Sollefteå, Sundsvall/Ånge, and Örnsköldsvik. Since the summer of 2022, we have had our own inpatient ward in Sundsvall with 5 beds, which is partly managed in collaboration with adult psychiatry during on-call hours. Development is ongoing to coordinate the County-wide BUP operations to create equal care in the county with a focus on quality, accessibility, and value for the patient.
We are now looking for a Chief Physician to join our team! The position is a permanent full-time employment, with a start date to be agreed upon.
Responsibilities
In the role of Chief Physician/Child Psychiatrist with us at BUP, you will have the opportunity to contribute your specialist competence in both patient and colleague interactions, as well as in building the future of child and adolescent psychiatry within Region Västernorrland. You will perform standard duties for a Chief Physician in child and adolescent psychiatry, which include among other things:
- In-depth clinical assessments, diagnostics, and treatments together with an engaged interdisciplinary team.
- Participation in various internal conferences at the clinic, as well as in external collaboration.
- Active involvement in our development work, where your specific competence contributes on various levels.
- Some on-call duties may be included.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who
- Is a specialist physician in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Has at least 2 years of clinical full-time employment after obtaining specialist competence.
- Has documented teaching and supervision experience (including approved ST-supervisor training).
- Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
It is an advantage if you
- Have a PhD with active research in a relevant field.
- Have teaching and/or supervision experience.
- Have leadership and administrative experience/education.
